Dennis Lee Glade Obituary, Death: Utah Community Mourns Beloved PA Announcer and Family Man at 74

The Utah community is mourning the passing of Dennis Lee Glade, who died peacefully on April 1, 2026, at the age of 74. Surrounded by loved ones in his final moments, Dennis leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and deep community involvement that touched countless lives.

Born on March 25, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Dennis was raised in Millcreek and graduated from Olympus High School in 1970. He went on to serve in the National Guard and later completed a mission in Edinburgh, Scotland through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In 1974, Dennis married Jeanie Woolstenhulme, and together they built a loving home in Oakley, Utah, raising four children—Melissa, Kimberly, D.J., and Matthew. Known for his outgoing personality and signature sense of humor, Dennis was a familiar and beloved voice as a public address announcer at local high school sporting events, where his enthusiasm energized crowds and athletes alike.

Later in life, Dennis moved to Cape Cod, where he married his second wife, Denise, in 2008. The couple shared a decade together before Denise’s passing in 2018. Dennis returned to Utah in 2019, reconnecting with family and the community he cherished.

An adventurer at heart, Dennis enjoyed photography, gardening, fishing, backpacking in the Uinta Mountains, and cheering on Utah sports teams. He was especially devoted to his nine grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Dennis is preceded in death by his wife Denise and his parents, Vernon and Beverly Glade. He is survived by his children—Melissa Smart (Jim), Kimberly Peacock (Jason), D.J. Glade (Tracy), and Matthew Glade (Alexia)—as well as his grandchildren Jake, Raegan, Brooklyn, Jordan, Brittan, Cannon, Blair, Chrissy, and Lydia.

The family has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Pheasant View Memory Care and Cascade Hospice for their compassionate support in Dennis’s final years.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a viewing on April 10 from 6:00–8:00 PM at Russon Mortuary in Farmington, Utah. A graveside service will follow on April 11 at Elysian Gardens in Millcreek.

Dennis Lee Glade will be remembered for his kindness, humor, adventurous spirit, and the lasting impact he made on his family and community.
