Authorities have provided a new update following a tragic shooting in Pocatello that left three people dead and two others injured on Friday afternoon.
According to the Power County Sheriff’s Office, one of the injured victims has now been released from the hospital. The individual, who was found in a boat, was hurt during a second shooting that unfolded while officers were already responding to the initial incident.
The second injured victim, who was wounded during the first shooting, remains hospitalized but is currently in stable condition.

During their investigation, authorities located a suspect hiding near the Portneuf River. While officers were securing the area, additional gunshots were heard, leading to the discovery of another injured person. That victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital for emergency care.
